Initiatives on Nutrition and Physical Activity

The European Commission has published an overview of their Initiatives on nutrition and physical activity. The paper zooms in on some of the main achievements in recent years in nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The paper also lists the relevant policy developments such as the council recommendation on health-enhancing physical activity and the Tartu Call for a healthy lifestyle from last year. Finally, the paper mentions the many projects that are being funded by the European Commission to promote healthy lifestyles.

EuropeActive has excelled at implementing projects to promote healthy lifestyles. Next to reaching more than 20,000 children with the ALCIS 1 & 2 project. EuropeActive also ran the PAHA project, which was branded as a success story and a good practice by the European Commission.
