The European Commission’s annual Education and Training Monitor finds that Member States have made further progress to improve their education and training systems.
On 22nd and 23rd of May, EuropeActive attended the two-day seminar on the European Week of Sport (EWoS) in Riga, Latvia.
The Commission presented the BeActive Nights initiative and a new consultancy, which would be in charge of the communication campaign.
After the presentation the participants brainstormed some suggestions for the European Week of Sport 2018 regarding international events during #BeActive Week, promotional items, social media activities/messages, etc.
The European Week of Sport partner organisations and the national coordinators took this opportunity to strengthen their collaboration in the pursuit of getting more people more active during the European Week of Sport. During the networking session, EuropeActive presented its National Fitness Days campaign to the national coordinators with the aim to improve the results of last year in terms of events number and countries involved.
National Fitness Days will represent the fitness sector contribution to the EWoS and it will be an opportunity to present the economic and social potentials of fitness. Moreover, it will provide to the fitness clubs the occasion to have new market/membership opportunities and media visibility. The most important part of the National Fitness Days will be events and activities organised by fitness clubs and gyms, at local level under the #BeActive branding.
