The European Commission’s annual Education and Training Monitor finds that Member States have made further progress to improve their education and training systems.
On the 11th October, EuropeActive joined the #BeActive Awards in Marseille, the current European capital of sport. Commissioner Navracsics showed his appreciation to the National Coordinating Bodies and the Official Partners for the success of the 2017 European Week of Sport.
He also handed over three different awards:
- Local hero, for inspiring local communities to #BeActive
- Workplace, for inspiring employees to #BeActive
- Education, for inspiring students to #BeActive
Today, 12th October, Commission revealed the impressive figures of the 3rd edition of the European Week of Sport and the National Coordinating Bodies and Official Partners gave their feedback on the past edition and expectations for the next one.
EuropeActive has contributed to the fitness focus theme of the week with the National Fitness Days. Through a range of events around Europe we have demonstrated how the fitness sector can make the difference to make more people, more active, more often.
