Christmas lunches, party buffets with tons of sweets and many drinks is part and parcel of the holiday experience. However, there are still some ways to keep fit during this season.

  1. Go for the healthy alternatives

Being health conscious during Christmas time does not mean you have to refuse to eat delicious meals. Just try to find healthiest opportunities on the table and stick to them.

  1. Drink more water

People are usually not worried at all about how much water they consume during holidays. However, drinking plenty of water is one of the easiest ways to keep on top of your health.

  1. Avoid “liquid” calories

Holiday mean not only more food, but more drinks as well.  And although one of the easiest ways to control your weight is to avoid consuming too much sweet and alcoholic drinks. For example, one usual cocktail consists 350 – 400 calories that is 1/5th of your recommended daily intake.

  1. Keep active

Of course, keeping stick to your exercise routine is the last thing that you would do on holiday. Anyway, if you do not have enough time or will to do your workout, get it done first thing in the morning, so afterwards you do not have to think about it.
